From Associate Attorney MC Skinner:
What a busy and rewarding week serving with fellow members of the Wake County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division! My colleagues and I were invited to speak as part of a panel discussion, and I got to talk with law clerks about what it’s like working at McKnight Law and practicing family law here in Wake County.
Then, over the weekend, I got to do some service to our community as part of the Young Lawyers Division Food Bank Volunteer Day.
To the law students I saw last week: I hope my practice perspectives about litigation in and outside of the courtroom encouraged you to join the family law community! If you need any help with getting your divorces granted after you pass the bar, feel free to call me.
With the Young Lawyers Division Public Service Committee, I organized and participated in a food drive with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Together we provided 12,638 (!!!) meals for North Carolina residents. I’m always motivated by my peers and colleagues who will spend their time volunteering for such important projects, and I want to thank each of them for their time and for inspiring me to find ways to contribute.
