Divorce and Family Law Attorney John McKnight, Founder of McKnight Law in Raleigh, North Carolina, announces the first anniversary of Associate Attorney, MC Skinner. Skinner, a graduate of Campbell University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, sought the position during the spring semester of her third year of law school.

Skinner says, “John was very gracious and quickly responded to my request to meet back when I was still in school. When we got together for coffee, we spent the first 45 minutes connecting over our shared values and philosophy of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I realized immediately that I could learn from him. Unlike some of my law school peers, I wanted to join a small firm where an established attorney could (and would) mentor me. During the first six months, I shadowed John, who is a wonderful teacher and role model. When I compare my experience to that of my peers, they mostly learn through the consequences of mistakes, which we all do to some extent, but my experience has been more of learning through guidance. Still, I have the added benefit of working for someone who truly cares about helping me grow personally and professionally. It enables me to serve our clients with authenticity, transparency, and approachability. John is a great human being, and I love working at McKnight Law. I look forward to helping more people in the Raleigh community navigate through the complexities of divorce and child custody successfully for years to come.”
